At just 2 km from the Manali town in Kullu district, the Manali Sanctuary spreads out to 31.80 sq. km. A bridle path from Manali log huts, Dhungri temple passing through the thick forest of Deodar, Kail, horse chestnut, Walnut, and Maple.
Also witnessed in the area are Musk deer, Monal, and Brown bear in the lower regions and enthusiasts can also site snow leopards in high altitude regions of the sanctuary. |

The most advisable time to visit the sanctuary is October through February. Other fauna like stripped hyena, Himalayan yellow-throated marten, Kashmir flying squirrel, and Himalayan Tahr are also to name a few in the region. |
