NAINITAL

Nainital is the very well-known destination of the Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand. Lying at an altitude of mesmerizing 1938 meters, Nainital being a jewel in the Uttarakhand necklace is also known as the lake district of Uttaranchal, being the only destination/hill station with a huge water body named as Naini Lake by which the town got its name.

Like Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, Nainitial in Uttarakhand is a destination that has a marvelous scenic beauty of the Himalayas accompanied by the eye-warming view of the Naini Lake. All around the lake is a wide road, The Mall, running through the town located on its banks.

The Naini Lake also offers boating through the length and breath of the lake. The boat club of Nainital also offers sailing in the Naini Lake on special permission.

Nainital also offers a ropeway trip of a distance of 705 meters with an altitude gain of 300 meters. It leads to the nearest peak of Sher-Ka-Danda hill with a powerful telescope mounted for a clear Himalayan view.
