SLITHERING

The literal definition of the word is to slide or glide, like a reptile. This can be better explained as descending from a height, most of the times a bridge, slowly at a controlled pace and touch the water surface underneath.

The thrill in this sport is to see the water coming closer and closer as you descend down and feel the wind in your hair and with no support besides a rope, which one is tied with.

RAPPELLING

This sport is very much similar to slithering, the only difference is that the descending in slithering is free without a support, whereas in rappelling one climbs down a rock/rocky terrain with a support rope tied.

It is a challenging activity with a firm grip required at every step while moving downwards and the momentum is controlled with one’s own grip.

A support of a professional is always provided to the amateurs.
